Zoom with Piglet, Caring for Deaf and Blind Dogs

Deaf, blind, and deaf blind dogs come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and degree of how they are affected. Some are born with hearing and vision deficits, and others lose vision and hearing as they age. Many dogs take their challenges in stride and others struggle to adapt and settle theirwith disabilities.

Caring for deaf and blind dogs does take planning and patience, at least in the beginning, but the rewards are endless.

Come join us for an informative, entertaining discussion of what it takes to care for deaf, blind, and deaf blind dogs. Of course, we'll be using the Pink Boys Piglet and Georgie as examples of deaf blind dogs. Cole the Deaf Dog and his dad Chris will be on the program to talk about teaching sign language to deaf dogs. We'll also be discussing senior dogs who gradually or acutely become deaf and blind.

There will be plenty of time for Q and A.
