Celebrate Annie's 15th Bday with Webinar: Navigating the Emotional and Physical Demands of Senior Pet Care

Where has the time gone? I feel like it was just yesterday that I flew to CA to pick up the tiny yellow puppy who was joining our pack in the #4 position. When I picked her up for the first time, I realized that she was very sick with pneumonia.

Thankfully she was able to fly home to CT with me where we addressed her health and were able to treat her collapsed lung effectively.

Annie fit right into our family- dog and human. She was a precious sweet shy puppy who LOVED Susie and Deanie. And they adored her as well.

She has been easy from the start. Never a bother, always good mannered, and sweet. She would hang out on the couch with Susie and Dean for years. Now that both of them are gone, she has attached herself to Lucy, pictured here.

She has lost most of her hearing but even with some arthritic pain, she gracefully runs across the yard like a deer letting us know how happy she is. Even as an older dog, she's easy to care for.

Of course, we worry. She's turning 15. She's a small dog so it's no problem to pick her up if needed. She uses our ramp, and she enjoys slow sniffing walks. But as she's hitting 15, we are worried about what's to come.

Balancing the emotional aspects with physical care for an older dog like Annie can be tough. In our webinar, we'll go over tips that can help us enjoy our older pets, while balancing anticipatory grief and other emotions that are all part of caring for senior pets.
